Originally named Arielle Chi Bryant and born in Atlanta, Ari Chi is a musician who writes her own music and commonly plays her ukulele along with singing in the Tampa and Saint Petersburg area. Before she could even speak, she would sing melodies as a child and was also influenced by the wonderful voices of her mother and aunt. In 2012 she graduated from Pinellas County Center for the Arts (PCCA) and from 6th grade to her senior year, she studied classical music with weekly private vocal lessons.

When asked to describe her style of sound, she considers it to be a blend of neo-soul, acoustic jazz, rap, and indie. Ari Chi is not limited to this as she also incorporates rock, blues, and house music into the mix. Normally she’ll record her raw vocals on the ukulele and will then get her pieces produced by an engineer. She has even gone as far as outputting colorful, high energy music videos to accompany the audio with visual. Her artistry involves frequent captivating live performances all around Florida whether it be at events, gigs, or to the public.

One of her goals for music is to be able to live solely off of her record sales and performance income. Though she’s fine with being underground, Ari Chi would love to write for others in addition to herself, have her sounds appear in movies, and be able to reach global recognition. With her videos and songs reaching views and listens in the ten thousands, there is no doubt she is definitely on the right track.
